| SCORE Providing pro-bono Management Counseling To Long Island's Small-Medium Size Businesses
SCORE® Counselors to Small Business, was established in 1964 as a resource partner of the Federal Small Business Administration. It is a volunteer organization, staffed with more than 10,000 highly competent, former business executives in more than 360 nation-wide chapters. There are 5 SCORE offices on Long Island with over 50 counselors. Collectively, SCORE volunteers have experience in virtually every business discipline and in a broad variety of business settings.
The sole mission of SCORE is to serve our local business communities with pro-bono counseling that promotes successful new business startups and the success of existing small-medium size business.
To accomplish this, we offer workshops, face-to-face, cyber and telephone counseling to assist clients with: preparation of business and marketing plans and documentation required for startup or operating capital. Existing businesses benefit from an assessment and recommendations regarding potential operational, marketing, financial, management and planning issues.
In addition, individuals with extensive business experience are invited to explore what opportunities SCORE can provide for them in terms of the mentoring the business community.
